1. FBLA is Fun!
Don't let its name scare you: the Future Business Leaders of America is actually a lot of fun. Chapters, like mine, tend to have really fun social activities like pizza parties and movie nights (or pumpkin carving!).
2. Travel
With FBLA, you get to travel all over your state to go to various conferences, plus you can go to places like Anaheim (DISNEYLAND), Chicago, Nashville, and Atlanta!
Yep, that's me in Chicago!
3. Competition
When you compete in FBLA, you can show off just how good you are. Plus, sometimes placing well can win you $$$! Who doesn't like money??
4. Applications
FBLA looks great on college and job applications, especially if you get involved!
5. Extra Credit
Some teachers even offer extra credit to students in FBLA! What a way to get a better grade!
6. Recognition
You can receive a multitude of award including BAAs. Those who receive the highest level of the BAAs are recognized at Nationals!
7. Learn to be a Boss (Okay, maybe not yet)
FBLA teaches members how to become leaders and how to develop their leadership even further through many different professional development programs.
8. Officer Opportunities
You have the opportunity to run for local, state and national offices! It's your time to shine and show everyone just how good of a leader you are!
9. Suits and Ties
Who doesn't like looking classy?
10. Networking
You will meet so, so many different members and develop connections with them that you can use in the future. FBLA is all about meeting new people!
